the story of
Since I remember, I’ve wanted to create a better world and have a positive impact with what I choose to do in my career.
As a child, I adored the fashion world but was also aware of nature’s importance. I questioned why trees were cut down for wealth when they are essential for life.
A chance to start a business that would make a DIFFERENCE
Years later, in high school, I got accepted in the Junior Achievement Latvia Leadership program. This was my chance to start a business that would make a difference. So I begin researching the sustainable fashion world.
I realized that everything we wear stays on the planet even after we’re gone.
When I saw tones of clothes being dumped in landfills, it got me rethinking the way fashion is made for us and how I’m choosing to build my wardrobe.
I realized that everything we wear stays on the planet even after we’re gone. And that seemed like a selfish & mindless way to live, considering nature provides all we need to live.

I got my grand idea — fashion that can become flowers
After many months, with the guidance of my mentor, I got my grand idea — fashion that can become flowers.
Basically, clothing that’s made only with 100% plant-based materials. So it would be safe to recycle in soil with the help of biodegradation thanks to water, soil, and plants above it.

From a sustainability-focused concept to a business
I spent months in many business innovation programs – “Ideju Kauss”, “LU studentu Biznesa inkubators”, “RTU Produktu attīstības programma” – to get my idea from a sustainability-focused concept to an actual business and product. I sourced 100% plant-derived materials – fabrics, threads, and buttons – that are plastic & toxic free.
